Dear Senator Murkowski
I am a born and raised Alaskan who never misses an election. I am currently a Non-Partisan voter. I am also a former Republican who left the party well before Trump arrived on scene. I left the Republican party for numerous reasons, and since leaving I have watched those reasons be amplified by orders of magnitude. I have voted for Democrats in the past, but have generally still voted Republican. I have voted for you, more than once.
Today’s Republican party is ugly, it is repugnant, it embraces cruelty, lawlessness, and vengeance while brazenly defying the teachings of Christ and the bounds of the Constitution. Today’s Republican leaders shamelessly lie, daily, in spite of what we can all clearly see with our own eyes, while those who aren’t lying, sit in shameful silence.
Daily, your party insults my intelligence, my faith, and my patriotism.
The conservative values that first attracted me to your party are gone - there is no such thing as a Conservative Republican. Plenty of Republicans run around calling themselves conservatives, but there is nothing conservative about them - to include you.
The alignment of Republican party values with Christian values are gone as well - there is no such thing as a Christian Republican. There are plenty of Republicans running around pretending to be Christians, but there is nothing Christian about them, as evidenced by their actions or, in most cases, inaction - to include you.
Your party stands for nothing but greed, power, corruption, demonization of the poor, subjugation of the weak, and protection for the rich and powerful no matter the vileness of their obvious and perverse crimes.
You will never see my vote again for as long as you continue to slander your own dignity and credibility with your allegiance to the Republican Party. And while I certainly have my issues with the Democrats, those issues pale in comparison to, for instance, seeing my fellow Citizens being executed on the streets of Minneapolis by a secretive Government Police force. Any candidate who is not a Republican, and is running against you or any other Republican, will get my money, and perhaps my time as well.
I will never vote for any Republican ever again - and I am teaching my children why.
